Language

From Sarsei Wiki

Their feelers are commonly seen as a sixth finger or second pair of arms, reinforcing their base-twelve counting system.

Language-wise, for concepts they do not have words for, they create 'words' by taking the meaning or features of the concept and build a word based on words they already have. For instance if they did not have a room with a shower/tub AND toilet, then they'd use the word for 'room', the word for 'tub' and the word for 'toilet' and string them together, a bit like german technical documentation.

Sarseians have their given name typically followed by their father's name prepended by 'shem' (or 'born to' in common). Occasionally you may run across a Sarseian who took the name of their mother or guardian. In this case, their familial name will be prepended by 'takhem', or 'cared by'. If the family is well known, the family name may follow, which is typically a family of known history. The family name is typically the name of the individual who became well known.
